Origins and development: The Cnos-Fap of Bologna was founded in July 3, 1978 by the will of the Salesian Institute Blessed Virgin of S. Luca, always had and continues to have among its goals: the human, civic and Christian promotion, as well as the vocational training of young people using a unique educational system, the methods and style of St. John Bosco. Set in the Salesian Institute of Bologna, the CNOS FAP has always drawn attention to the working classes in order to give young people their professional role in a creative and conscious way.

Origins and development: The Vocational Training Centre “Don Bosco” in Forlì, as all the centers of Christian inspiration, has always pursued institutional purposes of vocational training and updating in reference to Christian values, the preventive system of Don Bosco and the Salesian educational practice. The Vocational Training Centre operates in vocational training since 1954 and has always been in line with technological developments, constantly relating to the needs of the labour market. The Centre interacts in different sectors: in Industrial Mechanics, Advanced Tertiary, computerisation programmes and Multimedia.
Sectors and activities today: it promotes Initial, Continuing and Higher Vocational Training activities not publicly funded and other activities.
It mainly operates in Mechanical and Automotive sector.

Year of foundation: 1990
Origins and development: In 1990 the "Gavinelli Center" was founded, which at the time was dedicated to the education of socially disadvantaged youth.
Since 2012, with the VET reform, the CNOS-FAP/Emilia Romagna association has been offering free two-year courses funded by the European Social Fund and the Emilia Romagna Region. All the girls and boys who have attended (and passed or failed) the first year of secondary school can enroll. The center also welcomes young people who have not attended or finished the first year of secondary school: personalised educational paths lasting three years will be created for them (three thousand hours). At the end of the second year of vocational training, after passing the final exam, the student obtains the Vocational Qualification allowing the immediate access to the labour market.
Alternatively, the student can decide to re-enter the general secondary education following an evaluation activity.
Sectors and activities today: In this center the courses to become "Woodworking Operator" and "Thermo-hydraulic Operator" are open .
