Origins and development: In the place where, until 1947, stood the Forte Prenestino, wanted by Pope Pius IX as one of the defense point of the City of Rome, now stands a Vocational Training Centre. Since 1948 the sheds already destined to guard military equipment were turned into laboratories, classrooms, a cafeteria and offices. Today, keeping the same external structure, divided into sheds, it has become the headquarters of a modernly equipped electromechanical laboratory, a mechanical workshops and a machine tools laboratory. Local companies, knowing and admiring the vocational training activities carried out by the Vocational Training Center, often promote employment requests that meet the employment expectations of the kids. The VTC is seriously committed to meeting the employment expectations of these kids and finding them an occupation is the final achievement of their professional training aspect.

Sectors and activities today: it promotes Initial Vocationa Training activities.
It mainly operates in Mechanical, Automotive and Electric sector.
