Year of foundation:
Origins and development: The school activity began in 1930-31, with over two hundred students of the Vocational and Technical School of industrial type. In the postwar period, the Salesian Centre resumed its educational activities with great enthusiasm: they added the Commercial Technical Institute and, in the 60s and 70s, the structures of the Vocational and the Technical School were upgraded and the Vocational Training Centre was born, equipped with graphic and mechanical sectors. From these two structures came a separate production activity, creating a modern printing press that still provides valuable services to the large customer base. The school, the Vocational Training Centre and the other operating sectors of Pius XI Institute, despite the inevitable limitations and difficulties, appear nowadays as a well rooted reality to the point that, to quote a phrase of Don Egidio Viganò (seventh successor of Don Bosco), the Salesian Centre “has more future than past. "
Sectors and activities today: it promotes Initial and Continuing Vocational Training activities not publicly funded .
It mainly operates in the Graphic sector.
