Genoa - Sampierdarena

Origins and Development: In Sampierdarena the main characteristic was the School of Arts and Crafts. In 1963 the Technical Institute for Mechanics was founded; then joined the electro technicians, the electronic technicians and the IT technicians. Until a few years ago, as stated by the Salesians who have long been present in the Centre, large Genoese industries asked for the lists with the kids’ names even before they had finished their studies, to hire them immediately. Always within the school sphere is the Vocational Training Centre which was established in 1999 and is now thriving with its four-year course, the two-year course and the courses for the Over18.

Sectors and activities today: it promotes Initial and Continuing Vocational Training activities.

It mainly operates in the Electric sector.
